about

I have come to really have a thing for the moon. One night, as I was standing alone outside in my back yard in Nashville, there was a full moon and it was beautiful.

My thoughts were full of longing. Longing for a day yet to come.

There is but one man who is said to have seen God face to face and that is Moses. I've always been jealous of him for that.

I know that one day I WILL see God face to face. So I'm filled with a sense of longing and a restlessness with the world I live in now.

Ah, how beautiful is the moon when it's full. But it's really only a meager little glimpse of what will one day totally captivate me. Gazing at the face of my God.

So I gaze at the moon, longing to see Him face to face. Longing to gaze into the eyes of the lover of my soul... the one who created everything; me, the universe, and that beautiful moon that so captivates me for now.

lyrics

One too many moons
Have come and gone
And I stand gazing, wonding
As the still small light covers me
I hear You whisper
"Remember Me... I love you"

Chorus:
When I see You
I know all will be better
All will be well
When I see You

As long as I can count these day
That bring closer
The day that I'll look You in the eye
And see years of longing
You were always there
Whispering to me
"I love you"
